Slow the Signs of Aging

Aging of the skin is a natural process where the collagen and elastin that have been keeping our skin looking firm and youthful begin to decline and give way to wrinkles. Cell production and quality also diminish over time and contribute to the appearance of aging.

Although many of the signs of aging are outside of our control, there are some things we can do to look and feel better in our skin for years to come.

The influences that are within our control are largely influenced by our external environment. Here are 20 conscious ways you can reduce wrinkles and slow down the aging process.

  1. Stop smoking! Smoking increases the signs of aging from the inside AND the outside.
  2. Always wear a dedicated sunscreen product no matter the time of year or what the weather is doing. Wear a minimum of SPF 30.
  3. Hydrate your skin by drinking water. If you don’t bathe in it, it isn’t water. Drink WATER.
  4. Use skincare products that contain antioxidants and Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs).

  6. Manage your stress levels. Shoot for at least 15 minutes per day of mental and/or physical activity that helps you achieve this. We like Yoga and Meditation. Some people prefer high intensity activity. Do what works best for you. You’ll get a lot of benefit by adopting a consistent routine.
